Essah Akua is a dynamic young leader and mental health advocate committed to creating lasting impact through education, innovation, and mentorship.
At just 20 years old, she is a final-year Computer Science student at Ghana Communication Technology University, driven by an unrelenting passion for technology and its power to transform lives.
She believes that technology should be accessible to all, regardless of background or academic standing. Determined to break barriers in tech education, she is focused on ensuring that children across Africa get hands-on exposure to innovation.
Essah is equally fascinated by the complexity of the human mind- how people think, behave, and perceive the world. This curiosity has led her to personal mental health research, where she is passionate about bridging the gap in understanding for individuals living with mental illnesses.

As a mentor, Essah is passionate about guiding young individuals who aspire to enter the world of technology and leadership. Her mentorship style focuses on empowerment and skill development, ensuring that those she guides gain the confidence and tools to succeed.
Looking ahead, her vision is to create a future where every child in Africa has access to technology and the opportunity to innovate, regardless of their circumstances. She is actively working toward this goal by collaborating with organizations, institutions, and changemakers who share her mission.

Launched mental health advocacy programs aimed at educating people about cognitive disorders, like schizophrenia. Conducted 3 successful seminars with 200+ participants in attendance.
